About Yarrow Point, WA
Yarrow Point is a settlement located in King County, Washington. At the 2010 census, the population was 1,001. Yarrow Point is ranked sixth in the state of Washington based on per capita income, one of the more dependable indicators of affluence. Yarrow Point is a peninsula on the lake’s eastern shore, located between Cozy Cove and Yarrow Bay and nearly entirely north of Washington State Route 520. It is bounded on the west by Hunts Point, on the south by Clyde Hill, and on the east by Kirkland.
As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 1,001 people, 374 homes, and 299 families. There were 2,780.6 persons per square mile (1,073.6 inhabitants per km2). There were 407 dwelling units at an average density of 1,130.6 dwelling units per square mile (436.5 dwelling units per km2). The town was 86.4 percent White, 0.1 percent African American, 0.2 percent Native American, 8.8 percent Asian, 0.7 percent other races, and 3.8 percent of those who identified as having two or more races. Latino or Hispanic people of any race made up 1.6 percent of the population.
There were 374 households, 39.8% of which had children under the age of 18, 72.5 percent of which were married couples, 5.6 percent of which had a female householder without her husband present, 1.9 percent of which had a male householder without his wife present, and 20.1 percent of which were non-families. Individuals constituted 17.4 percent of all households, while 10.4 percent of all households included someone aged 65 years or older. The typical household included 2.68 people and the average family contained 3.04.
The town’s median age was 46.8 years. Residents were 27.7 percent under the age of 18; 3.6 percent between the ages of 18 and 24; 15.7 percent between the ages of 25 and 44; 33.5 percent between the ages of 45 and 64; and 19.6 percent were 65 years of age or older. Males made up 49.6 percent of the town’s population, while females made up 50.4 percent.
