About SeaTac, WA

SeaTac is a city located in Washington’s southern King County. It is a Seattle inner-ring suburb and is included in the Seattle metropolitan region. The name “SeaTac” comes from the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, which is a combination of the words Seattle and Tacoma.

SeaTac has an area of ten square miles (26 km2) and has a total population of 26,909 residents as of the 2010 census. The city limits are bounded by the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (an area of about three square miles (7.8 km2), which is owned and maintained by the Port of Seattle. Bow Lake, Angle Lake, Bow Lake, McMicken Heights, and Riverton Heights were all established prior to SeaTac’s establishment.
